Job Description
The Project Coordinator will oversee and provide leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Integrated Community Health Support Project – Nakivale. The role involves managing day-to-day project operations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality health services in refugee settlement contexts.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day implementation of the project activities, including planning, preparation, and execution of activities.
- Maintaining close coordination and communication with Implementation teams, partners, and collaborators, namely the Office of the Prime Minister, other line ministries, donors, District Local Governments, health facilities, and the target communities
- Preparing and sharing monthly and Quarterly management and financial reports of the project with the Programs Manager and the GD Project Officer.
- Coordinating the work of the short-term doctors, including orientation, debriefing, field introductions, movements, and work execution.
- Overseeing the general well-being of the short-term doctors while in the country by ensuring their welfare is well catered for.
- Responsible for execution of project workplan and budget, including initiating requisitions, reviewing payment for all project activities.
- Ensuring all financial accountability and reports are prepared and sent on time to the Programs Manager and GD Project Officer.
- Ensuring that all project logistics (materials, supplies, and equipment) are available at the right time, right quantities and qualities.
- Producing high-quality program documentations and communication materials, including success stories, case studies, and photo/video content for reporting and social media engagement, enhancing program visibility and impact.
- Implementing end-to-end project cycles across development and humanitarian (refugee) contexts, including proposal writing, budgeting, work planning, execution, monitoring, and adaptive management using outcome harvesting and other learning-focused approaches.
- Keeping proper records and inventories of all information related to the project.
- Perform any other project duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Programs Manager and GD Project Officer.
