Job Description

The Programme Manager will manage students’ progression from high school scholarships into tertiary education, ensuring effective monitoring, mentorship, and transition into careers or entrepreneurship. The role involves budgeting, tracking academic performance, establishing institutional partnerships, and overseeing internship and employment opportunities. The incumbent will design and implement mentorship frameworks, career development activities, and an alumni engagement strategy to sustain long-term scholar involvement. The role requires collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders to deliver holistic support for the scholars.

How to Apply

  • Manage the transition of high school scholars to tertiary education within the KCB Foundation programme.

  • Oversee planning, utilization, and reporting of the tertiary education programme budget.

  • Track scholar attendance and academic performance, initiating interventions as needed.

  • Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual programme reports.

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, TVET institutions, employers, and mentors.

  • Maintain a database of internships, employment outcomes, and career progress for scholars.

  • Implement a structured mentorship programme aligned with KCB Foundation standards.

  • Support scholar transition into employment or entrepreneurship through the 2jiajiri initiative.

  • Coordinate employability workshops, career fairs, and professional forums.

  • Design and implement an effective alumni engagement strategy.

  • Organize alumni-led activities such as mentorship, networking, and community service.

  • Encourage and track alumni participation in programme support initiatives.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in scholarship programme management.

  • At least 3 years in education management.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in budget planning and control.

  • Minimum 2 years managing stakeholder relationships.

Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and programme management skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • Proficiency in planning, budgeting, and monitoring.

  • Experience in career development and youth mentorship.

  • Ability to design and manage databases and reporting frameworks.
