Job Description
He/She must be a forward-thinker who will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of regenerative agriculture programs across selected program sites with major focus on capacity building, value chain development, field-based technical backstopping and mentorships. support development of agribusiness models, job creation, data collection, and reporting, with particular emphasis on inclusive participation of women, youth, and persons with special needs (PwSN).
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the development of RA work plans, budgets, and implementation schedules.
- Conduct RA needs assessments, participate in market surveys, and contribute to baseline surveys.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs promoting regenerative agriculture, digital extension, carbon trade, and value chain approaches in selected sites.
- Support the development of capacity-building materials/ modules on digital/physical extension tools for extension agents and CCBFs, including profitable agribusiness models that would commercialise RA.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and conduct training for public and private Extension Agents (EAs), Commercial Community Based Facilitators (CCBFs). farmer Orgions-FOs and farmers, with deliberate inclusion of women, youth, and PwSNs. Implement, mentor and technically backstop RA field activities through regular site visits.
- Support value chain development activities including Farmers’ Field Days learning tours, and link CCBFs to input companies and other private service providers.
- Participate in the development of partnerships that would enhance the adoption of RA
- Analyze the technical performance and economic viability of RA extension models and document lessons learned.
- Collect and manage RA technical and economic databases.
- Participate in resource mobilization and fundraising efforts and inter-Pillar coordination activities.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual technical reports.
