The Opportunity: Procurement Lead
We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Lead to oversee strategic procurement, logistics, vendor relations, and facilities management across all Innovation Village hubs. This role calls for a proactive and strategic thinker who can drive procurement efficiency, uphold compliance, and contribute to long-term organizational growth.
You will be at the center of procurement planning, contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and inventory oversight—ensuring cost-effective operations while supporting innovation and agility across teams.

How to Apply
Strategic Procurement & Planning
Design and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
Consolidate cross-departmental procurement needs, forecast demand, and oversee timely sourcing and delivery.
Manage the full tendering lifecycle—from bid solicitation and evaluation to negotiation and contract award.
Develop, implement, and enforce procurement policies across all offices and project sites.
Vendor & Contract Management
Build and maintain a reliable, pre-qualified supplier base with defined performance metrics.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, legal compliance, and risk mitigation.
Monitor vendor performance and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs).
Resolve vendor disputes and promote continuous improvement in supplier engagement.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to PPDA regulations, donor procurement policies, and internal compliance standards.
Maintain and update procurement manuals, and train staff on compliance and ethical procurement practices.
Support internal and external procurement audits and implement recommendations to strengthen systems.
Logistics & Inventory Oversight
Oversee procurement logistics including customs clearance, delivery scheduling, and transportation coordination.
Manage inventory systems to ensure real-time asset tracking and optimize stock levels for uninterrupted operations.
Facilities & Asset Management
Oversee maintenance and optimization of physical spaces across The Innovation Village hubs.
Support revenue generation through workspace pricing strategies and facility rental models.
Monitor occupancy levels, maintain tenant/member databases, and enhance the workspace experience.
Reporting & Budget Control
Track key procurement metrics and provide regular reports on cost savings, compliance, supplier performance, and risks.
Work with the Finance team to reconcile procurement spending with project and departmental budgets.
Provide weekly and monthly procurement insights to senior leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional certification in procurement/supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is required.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 4 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven experience in multi-stakeholder environments, preferably within innovation, development, or complex operational settings.
Strong working knowledge of Uganda’s PPDA laws, donor procurement policies, and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in ERP systems and digital procurement or inventory tools.
