Job Description
Resident in Port Harcourt with missions to JV sites, the role leads and executes process studies (pre-study, basic and detailed engineering), simulations (e.g., PRO/II, sizing tools; OLGA or equivalent for flow assurance), and debottlenecking analyses. You will prepare Scopes of Requirement for SMRs/RFMs, interface with Smart Room/Tier 1 operations and multi-disciplinary teams (Maintenance, Well Performance, GSR, ECP, Production Chemistry), support projects, participate in HAZOP/PTR/safety reviews, maintain as-built process documentation (P&IDs, ESD logic) in PRODOM, and issue guidelines that enhance production quality and environmental performance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct process engineering studies; act as FO RFM Leader for Process/Operations RFMs.
Perform simulations and sizing; provide process data for new equipment/instruments.
Execute debottlenecking studies and recommend optimisation solutions.
Prepare Scopes of Requirement and study packages for site modifications/ECP projects.
Provide technical process support to Site Operations and project teams.
Lead/participate in HAZOP, PTR and other technical/safety reviews; close audit actions.
Ensure compliance with company rules and international standards in issued process files.
Maintain/upgrade process documentation (P&IDs, ESD logic, etc.) and ensure availability via PRODOM; assess gaps between field condition and as-built docs.
Interface closely with Smart Room, Maintenance, Well Performance, GSR, ECP and other stakeholders.
Prepare/update operational guidelines to optimise production and support CFR/sustainability projects.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
2–5 years’ experience (oil & gas/industrial plant) in process/operations support.
Proficiency with process/flow assurance tools: PRO/II, OLGA or equivalents; familiarity with process sizing tools.
Strong knowledge of process safety, standards, and technical documentation (P&IDs, ESD).
Analytical mindset, clear technical reporting, and good command of engineering software.
Excellent teamwork and communication; ability to interface with JV partners, OEMs, and multi-disciplinary teams.
