Job Description
Mayfair Asset Managers Limited (Uganda) is seeking a highly detail-oriented Operations Officer to support the establishment, control, and day-to-day running of its asset management operations. The role is central to ensuring operational accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with custodians, administrators, and other service providers, while supporting the build-out of scalable, well-controlled processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the setup and implementation of operational systems, workflows, and procedures for asset management activities
- Assist in daily transaction processing, trade settlements, client account updates, and reconciliation activities
- Liaise with custodians, fund administrators, trustees, and banking partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of transactions
- Support compliance with CMA regulations, internal policies, and industry standards by maintaining proper records and documentation
- Participate in monitoring fund performance, valuations, asset allocations, and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate client and investment records while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Assist in preparation of operational, regulatory, and performance reports
- Support risk management activities by helping identify operational gaps and implementing effective controls
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, automation, and service delivery
- Perform any other related duties assigned to support the growth and smooth functioning of the asset management business
