How to Apply
Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading communication materials such as press releases, social media posts, newsletters, and website content.
Create draft designs based on requirements as discussed with the Public Information team.
The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.
Monitor media and social media trends relevant to migration and prepare brief updates for the team.
Coordinate with team members via MS Teams to receive assignments, provide progress updates, and participate in virtual meetings.
Qualification:
An advanced degree (masters) in Communication, journalism, social media production, videography, etc, with 3 years’ experience.
Excellent command of written and spoken English is a must. Experience in public communication and/journalistic writing and editing is a big plus.
Purpose: Understands IOM’s Strategic Objectives and the link to own work objectives; flexibly adapts individual contributions to accommodate changes in direction from supervisors and internal/external changes (such as evolving needs of beneficiaries, new requirements of partners).
Performance: Shows willingness to explore and experiment with new ideas and approaches in own work and consistently delivers results within individual scope of work on time, and without errors.
