Job Title: Officer Web Administration (1 Position)

Job Purpose

To manage and maintain all official websites of the Bank of Uganda, including both internal (Intranet) and external (public website) platforms.

How to Apply

  • Develop system specifications for changes to the Bank’s websites in response to evolving customer and stakeholder needs.

  • Redevelop or upgrade the BOU website and Intranet using the latest web development technologies and standards.

  • Ensure the integrity and high availability of the Bank’s online presence by monitoring web server performance and implementing preventive measures.

  • Apply necessary patches and updates to the website and Intranet based on security scan recommendations.

  • Administer and manage access controls to ensure secure and appropriate use of web applications.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to installation, configuration, and maintenance procedures for the Bank’s websites.

  • Provide second-level support for the BOU website and Intranet, including resolving incidents and conducting regular system backups.

  • Facilitate integration of the website with the Data Warehouse by designing and developing data collection tools, dashboards, and enhancement features.

  • Manage departmental projects using PRINCE2 or Agile development methodologies.

  • Support business intelligence applications integrated with the Bank’s web systems.

  • Automate all Bank-wide surveys, such as customer satisfaction and feedback surveys, and conduct analytics to assess and improve performance.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A First Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Information Technology

  • Certifications in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, Certified Webmaster Professional (CWP), or other related qualifications are an added advantage

  • In-depth knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS)

  • Strong research skills and ability to apply findings in development work
