About the PULMq-TB Project (Stop TB Partnership/UNOPS)

The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) – National TB/Leprosy Division (NTLD), is implementing the PULMq-TB Project, supported by the Stop TB Partnership/UNOPS under the Introducing New Tools Project (iNTP).

This initiative utilizes ultra-portable digital X-ray technology combined with Qure.ai’s qXR software to expand community TB screening among high-risk populations in urban, peri-urban, and underserved rural areas, including the Karamoja sub-region. Alongside TB screening, the project incorporates a nutrition supplementation program to help prevent the progression of TB in household contacts of confirmed TB patients, especially children.

To support this effort, IDI is seeking a qualified and experienced Nutritionist to lead and implement the nutrition component of the project in Moroto.

The Nutritionist will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the nutrition supplementation activities in line with Ministry of Health guidelines. • Maintain communication with the Project Coordinator regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs.

  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and represent the project in relevant regional forums.

  • Document lessons learned and best practices related to nutrition support in TB care.
