Job Description
National Technical Coordinator works under the overall guidance and supervision of the Project Manager and in consultations with the Project Team. S/he is responsible for day-to-day project coordination and technical leadership and will ensure that all relevant partners and institutional stakeholders are kept involved and informed as appropriate, to ensure optimum cooperation. National Technical Coordinator reports directly to the Project Manager for all administrative issues

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Liaise on behalf of the project with the local institutions, national counterparts and private sector representatives involved in the assigned project to ensure a proper information exchange as well as liaise with partners in connection with UNIDO programming and project formulation, global forum events and other meetings
- Partners informed and regular exchange of information on the project ensured
- Provide technical leadership of all components of this project, including:
- Technical assistance of all activities under various components of the project;
- Technical guidance on the procurement of services related to the project, through formulation of ToRs for procurement, appropriate procurement documents, and evaluation of procurement documents;
- Elaboration ToRs for national and international experts and the supervision of their assignments
- Support and guide the team of trainers/counselors/national experts in their activities of capacity building delivery
- ToRs for procurement and experts drafted and approved by PM
- Trainers/counselors/national experts completed their assignments successfully
- Oversee the effective and timely implementation of the activities and monitoring of the project, including:
- Provide strategic advice in the elaboration of the operational planning and monitoring system for the project;
- Constant monitoring and analysis of the project environment, and guidance to the government counterpart in undertaking timely adjustments for the project;
- Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation for the activities of the project using appropriate tools with output verifiable indicators;
- Maintain close links with other private sector development initiatives to ensure a consistent and integrated approach;
- Assist in the design and implementation of all activities required to achieve the Projects’ objectives;
- Prepare regular reports as required by the Project and the Donor.
- Project monitoring tools and frameworks drafted and approved by PM
- An effective project monitoring ensured
- Final and progress reports finalized and approved by PM
- Lead the coordination and preparation of steering committee meetings (SCs) and provide relevant documentation
- SC meetings are successfully organized
- Prepare and submit for approval to the PM a final report
- Final report, including all the expected deliverables approved by the PM
- Over the period of the contract duration
