Job Description

Job Title:   Mpox Vaccination Officers (2 UN Jobs)

Organisation: World Health Organisation (WHO)

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

In response to the ongoing Mpox outbreak, vaccination has emerged as a key tool for reducing both morbidity and mortality. Evidence from Europe and North America demonstrates that targeted vaccination can effectively curb the spread of Mpox and prevent severe outcomes in affected populations. Building on these successes, the WHO will support the roll-out of Mpox vaccination activities in countries with ongoing transmission, particularly those with clade 1b variant and those with allocated vaccine doses. By strengthening vaccination efforts, WHO aims to safeguard public health and reduce the impact of Mpox in the region.
