Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Assistant
Location: Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Kyegegwa District, Uganda

Reports To: M&E Officer / Project Manager
Contract Duration: 7 months

Job Purpose
ADRA Uganda is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented M&E Assistant to support the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities under the RISE Project. The role involves ensuring timely data collection, analysis, and reporting to guide project planning, track performance, and support accountability to beneficiaries, donors, and stakeholders.

How to Apply
1. Data Collection & Management
Assist in the development and rollout of M&E tools and systems.
Conduct regular field visits to gather quantitative and qualitative data from project sites.
Accurately enter, clean, and manage data in digital or manual databases.
Ensure proper disaggregation of data by sex, age, and other key variables.
2. Reporting & Documentation
Support the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports using verified data.
Document success stories, lessons learned, challenges, and best practices.
Assist in updating indicator tracking tables (ITTs), dashboards, and evaluation summaries.
3. Monitoring & Evaluation
Track project performance against targets and results indicators.
Support baseline, midterm, and endline evaluations.
Monitor inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impacts in alignment with the project’s Logical Framework.
4. Accountability & Learning
Participate in managing community feedback and complaints response mechanisms.
Support learning and reflection sessions for continuous project improvement.
Ensure beneficiary feedback is integrated into project planning and adjustments.
5. Capacity Building
Provide M&E technical support to field staff, community structures (e.g., ToTs, VSLAs, farmer groups), and volunteers.
Train field teams on data collection tools and best practices in monitoring and evaluation.
Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in M&E, preferably with NGOs or in humanitarian/refugee settings.
Knowledge of M&E methodologies such as Logical Frameworks, Theory of Change, and Results-Based Management.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good time management and organizational skills.
Fluent in English and at least one local language spoken in Kyaka II (e.g., Runyakitara, Swahili, Kinyabwisha).
Personal Attributes
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
