Job Description
Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and learning Officer

Job Summary:
The MEAL Officer will majorly be responsible for directly monitoring the implementation of the Tuongea project, in Uganda. The MEAL Officer will be primarily responsible for providing support to the project and will work with the Program Manager and program Associate to design and lead a strong MEAL system for the project. The MEAL officer is responsible for designing and implementing the MEAL activities of the Project; assisting the Program Manager in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, Bi-annual and annual reports, work plans on project progress and monitor the project activities on a regular basis, s/he is responsible for the outcome harvesting process, collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.

How to Apply
Tasks: The tasks to be performed shall include but limited to:
Collect and update baseline data for project interventions
Develop project monitoring and evaluation plans
Develop data collection tools for the project
Update the Opysis system on a regular basis
Develop a database for the project interventions
Collect data on project activities and enter it in the database regularly
Conduct data quality checks for activity reports submitted by staff
Monitor progress of activity implementation
Analyze database and produce weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports
Design and conduct surveys to inform programming
Conduct outcome harvesting of results
Participate in Institutional M&E activities
Participate in institutional planning, review and reflections meetings
Any other roles that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
A bachelor’s degree in Quantitative economics or Bsc in Statistics.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in M&E system design and implementation from the recognized institution or organization.
A good communicator; strong oral and written communications skills desired.
Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
A post graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage
Experience in implementation of peace and election programs in is an added advantage.
A strong back ground in programming is an added advantage
