Job Description
Norvik Hospital is a leading provider of health care services to individuals and a number of organizations, being recognized and empaneled by various Airlines, Banks, Mines, Research organizations, Telecom Industries, IT companies, FMCG companies, Insurance companies, Medical Insurance companies and Healthcare groups
Duties and Responsibilities
Product Promotion: Promoting pharmaceutical and medical products to healthcare professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff. This involves presenting product information, benefits, and features to generate interest and awareness.
Building Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals through regular visits, meetings, and educational sessions. Developing rapport and trust to influence prescribing habits and product recommendations.
Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential customers, understand market trends, and assess competitor products and strategies.
Sales Planning: Developing and implementing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives. This may involve territory management, prioritizing key accounts, and allocating resources effectively.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to healthcare professionals by addressing inquiries, providing product information, and resolving issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Training and Education: Providing training and education to healthcare professionals on product features, benefits, and usage guidelines. Organizing and conducting product presentations, workshops, and seminars.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback. Providing regular reports and updates to management on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, codes of conduct, and company policies and procedures. Adhering to ethical standards and guidelines in all sales and promotional activities.
Product Knowledge: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical products, including their indications, contraindications, side effects, and interactions. Staying informed about new product launches, updates, and clinical studies.
Networking: Networking and collaborating with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and industry stakeholders to build relationships and expand business opportunities.
Qualifications and Competencies
Education: A bachelor's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, business, or a related field is typically required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a background in healthcare or pharmaceutical sciences.
Experience: Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical sales, or healthcare-related roles is often preferred. Entry-level positions may be available for candidates with relevant internships or sales experience.
Sales Skills: Strong sales skills, including persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, are essential for success in this role.
