Medical Officer job at Baylor-uganda
Baylor College
To conduct clinical patient assessment, provide medical care and treatment to clients, offer individualized and group health education, and contribute to continuous professional development in line with the Baylor-Uganda medical and psychosocial needs. Take on any other roles as need arises.
Provide comprehensive clinical management of clients including assessments for adverse events both at the health facility and in the community.
Confirming/Verifying eligibility of potential research participants.
Ordering laboratory tests and interpreting them in a timely manner.
Prescribing ARVs and other medications.
Completing source forms and case record forms (CRFs).
Providing HIV/ AIDS related counselling.
Actively participating in all learning sessions organized for clinicians and staff at the health facility.
Participate in the conduct of ethically approved research.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or its equivalent from a recognized institution and must be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
At least two years of experience in clinic or hospital-based services. Experience in HIV/AIDS and ART is important.
