Job Description
St. Joseph's Hospital Kitgum, a PNFP Hospital is looking for a suitable person to fill the position of Medical Officer and is required to work under minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
To participate in diagnosis, treatment and proper management of patients,
To liaise with other cadres in the hospital in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
To participate in planning and budgeting for the Hospital.
To participate in assessing health staff performance in the Hospital and completion of their Annual Confidential Reports.
To participate in ensuring that staff adheres to professional code of conduct.
To compile periodic reports and submit to Medical Superintendent.
To participate in research activities.
To attend relevant meeting and workshop.
No private practice of any kind is permitted, neither inside nor outside St. Joseph's Hospital.
To carry out any other duties assigned by the Medical Superintendent
Qualifications and Competencies
QUALIFICATIONS.
Must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized University / Institution.
Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council with a valid APL
