WE ARE HIRING: MARKETING & COMMUNICATION OFFICER
Abacus Pharma is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Marketing & Communication Officer, based in Kampala, Uganda.
JOB PURPOSE
The Marketing & Communication Officer will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing effective marketing and communication strategies that promote the company’s brand, products, and services. This role plays a key part in enhancing brand visibility, stakeholder engagement, and supporting business growth through digital and traditional media channels.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of content marketing theory and application.
Proficient in using digital marketing tools and platforms.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data.
Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining professional relationships—both online and offline.
Solid understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research and Google Analytics.
Effective communication skills, especially in social customer service—empathy, patience, conflict resolution, and advocacy.
Proven creativity and active engagement in social media and digital content strategies.
