Job Title: Manager Client Coverage

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Drive productivity of corporate relationship managers through client acquisition and management of existing corporate client relationships consistent with the Bank’s strategy in-order to achieve desired quality of business growth.

  • Enhance client retention by providing a one-stop point of contact for all the client’s needs and requirements while providing world class customer service.

  • Establish and develop various sales strategies to meet ever changing customer needs in liaison with the Product Development Team.

  • Maintain, acquire, and reactivate customer relationships to improve deposit liability growth and mix.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analyses within marketing area and develop strategies that will give the Bank a large part of the market within its vicinity.

  • Recommend the creation of viable and profitable risk assets to increase business office profitability.

  • Design product offerings tailored to meet the needs of the corporate sector while maintaining regular contacts with their executives to push the Bank’s business.

  • Initiate and carry out recovery action on non-performing credits facilities.

  • Provide overall leadership of the Corporate Relationship Managers and define a framework for developing them into a high performing and engaged workforce, through managing their performance, motivating, coaching, and training them accordingly.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

The applicant should have relevant qualifications


Competencies

  • Focused attention and efforts on understanding customers (or customer segments) and proactively addressing different customer/client needs

  • Self confidence

  • Actively curious, seeking a deeper, broader and more objective understanding, upon which to base commercial acumen, strategic decisions and actions.

  • Proactive in identifying business opportunities or barriers to business performance and addressing them

  • Understanding the line-of-sight between strategy and organisational implementation.

  • Ability to identify patterns or connections between situations that are not obviously related, and to identify key or underlying issues in complex situations.

  • Ability to forge relationships with assigned clients by delivering solutions suited to their strategy.

  • Financial acumen


Qualifications

  • First degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other relevant degree or NQF equivalent.

  • Other relevant qualifications including post graduate qualifications such as an MBA is considered a bonus

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the client service environment.

  • An additional 3 years within the credit or product environment is considered an advantage.
