Job Description
We are sourcing for suitably qualified professionals to fill the position of Manager Forex to join our client, a tier-one commercial bank and one of the most recognizable brands in Uganda’s financial sector.

Job Purpose
To lead and manage the Bank's foreign exchange trading activities, ensuring optimal generation of FX trading income while operating within the Bank’s risk management framework and strategic objectives.

How to Apply

Set competitive FX rates aligned with current market conditions and update promptly when necessary.
Disseminate FX rates to all branches on time and ensure compliance.
Engage in market making by actively reaching out to customers and counterparties.
Execute trades within approved dealer, counterparty, and exposure limits.
Maintain optimal nostro account balances to meet settlement obligations.
Revenue Generation
Drive significant trading turnover to achieve revenue targets.
Grow the FX client base and increase off-balance sheet income.
Customer Engagement
Proactively identify customer FX needs and provide tailored solutions.
Build and manage relationships with corporate, institutional, and retail clients to enhance FX business.
Financial Accountability
Responsible for the growth of Treasury’s FX customer portfolio.
Accountable for achieving revenue targets from FX trading and customer transactions.

Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.
ACI Certification is mandatory; ACI Diploma or equivalent is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of Treasury operations and products.
Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships in a Treasury environment.
Experience with Reuters, Bloomberg, or other trading platforms.
Core Competencies
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
High level of numerical and analytical ability.
Strong relationship management skills.
High integrity and professional ethics.
Proficient in MS Office and trading systems.
