Job Description
The role involves managing the bank’s trustee services portfolio by ensuring investment and regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate and secure documentation, handling approval processes, and overseeing KYC/AML practices. The incumbent will coordinate statutory meetings, resolve compliance issues, ensure the timely processing of member benefits, and maintain oversight on audit issues. The Manager will also manage risk proactively by updating the risk register and overseeing licensing with regulatory authorities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Investment & Regulatory Compliance: Monitor investments to ensure alignment with RBA, CMA, and trust deed regulations.
Governance & Documentation: Maintain incorporation records for all schemes and ensure proper storage and accessibility.
Approval Process Management: Process approval requests from fund managers, custodians, and administrators promptly.
KYC/AML Compliance: Conduct annual reviews to ensure clients meet all regulatory KYC and AML standards.
Statutory Meetings: Prepare and maintain records for meetings, including proper notice issuance and minutes safekeeping.
Compliance Monitoring: Track and follow up on non-compliance issues until they are resolved.
Member Benefits Processing: Ensure timely processing of member withdrawal payments.
Audit & Risk Management: Address and resolve audit findings; update and manage the risk register.
Licensing & Approvals: Ensure timely renewal and application for licenses with relevant authorities like CMA, RDB, CSD, and RSE.
Revenue Management: Oversee billing and collections for trustee services.
Daily Responsibilities:
Conduct daily compliance reconciliations for trustee clients
Monitor fund transactions to ensure regulatory compliance
Identify, escalate, and follow up on compliance issues
Ensure accurate billing and revenue follow-up
Execute other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field
Professional Certification: CISI Level 1
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Trustee Services, Fund Management, Fund Administration, Custody, or Capital Markets Operations
Preferred: Master's Degree
Competencies:
Strong understanding of trustee and regulatory frameworks
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Proficient in relationship and stakeholder management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
