Job Description
Global Consults Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Corporate Affairs to lead strategic communications, brand positioning, media and stakeholder engagement, and reputation management for its Uganda office. The role involves developing and executing communication strategies, managing media relations, coordinating high-level events, producing executive communications content, overseeing digital platforms, supporting internal communications, and ensuring compliance with donor and corporate visibility standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Corporate communications strategy design, implementation, and evaluation. 
- Media relations, spokesperson coordination, and press materials management. 
- Stakeholder mapping, engagement plans, and partnership cultivation. 
- Event management and protocol for high-level meetings and launches. 
- Content development: speeches, briefs, publications, web and social copy. 
- Digital channel management and analytics reporting. 
- Internal communications, staff newsletters, and leadership messages. 
- Reputation management, issues tracking, and crisis communications. 
- Brand governance, donor visibility compliance, and quality control of creative outputs. 
- Budget oversight for corporate affairs and supervision of vendors/consultants. 
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
- 5–7+ years’ experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or donor relations, ideally in consulting/international development. 
- Proven success in media relations, strategic messaging, and brand reputation management. 
- Demonstrated experience engaging senior stakeholders in government, development partners, and private sector. 
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills. 
- Strong grasp of digital marketing, web and social analytics tools. 
- High integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and ability to manage confidential information. 
- Strategic thinking, results orientation, resilience under pressure, and people leadership/mentoring skills. 
- Ability to travel; working command of East African languages is an advantage.
