Job Description

This role focuses on the development and implementation of growth strategies for the Asset Management division. The successful candidate will lead business development professionals, identify and pursue market opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance client value propositions. Additionally, the Manager will play a critical role in data-driven market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and structuring high-value commercial agreements, while representing the business at various internal and external forums.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and scaling of the Asset Management business by targeting specific client segments.

  • Identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnership opportunities to expand market reach.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to co-create client-centric and locally relevant marketing solutions.

  • Conduct ongoing market research and provide feedback to influence decision-making and enhance customer experience.

  • Develop client engagement tactics at distribution level to achieve income and balance sheet targets.

  • Ensure a unified understanding of Asset Management across different segments and corporate functions.

  • Represent Asset Management in key internal and external forums with decision-making authority.

  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals to meet performance targets.

  • Negotiate and structure complex commercial agreements that maximize organizational value.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to maintain and strengthen SBGS's market position.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education

  • Qualification: First Degree

  • Field of Study: Business Commerce

Experience Required

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in developing client value propositions, preferably within the Personal and Private Banking (PPB) or Business Clients distribution environment.

  • Strong experience in using data management, analytics, business intelligence, and quantitative tools to drive business strategy.

  • Experience in identifying market opportunities and strategic partnership development.
