Job Description
The Logistics Trainee Assistant is an entry-level position designed for recent graduates and diploma holders who are eager to build a career in logistics and supply chain management. The role provides hands-on training in inventory control, transportation coordination, warehouse operations, and documentation processes. The Trainee Assistant will work closely with the Logistics and Operations teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating the movement of raw materials and finished products to and from the factory and distribution points.
- Support inventory management by helping track stock levels, updating records, and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing delivery notes, waybills, and other logistics documentation.
- Monitor daily loading and offloading activities at the warehouse.
- Support vehicle scheduling and follow up on transport assignments.
- Maintain accurate logistics data using Excel and internal systems.
- Assist with routine warehouse inspections to ensure safety and organization.
- Work closely with supervisors to learn logistics planning, cost control, and operational procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Logistics Manager or Supervisor.
