Job Description
The Logistics Officer is responsible for ensuring that all administrative and operational tasks within the ICD Logistics Department are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards. The role involves managing documentation, cargo handling, and stock control while adhering to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Documentation & Cargo Handling.
- Receive and verify TEUs accompanying documents.
- Maintain and update the registers/reports accurately.
- Document handover to Clients.
- Immediately escalate (“Red Flag”) any discrepancies.
File Management
- Open, update, and close AICD files accurately.
- Generate accurate truck loading orders.
- Process exits permits upon receipt of required documentation.
- Match supplier invoices to relevant files before submission for approval.
Reporting & Stock Control
- Update and transmit daily stock reports.
- Maintain accurate client stock records.
- Ensure compliance with agreed client KPIs.
- Identify and report discrepancies immediately.
Compliance & ISO Support
- Ensure adherence to documented procedures and SOPs.
- Maintain proper record control in line with ISO document retention policies.
- Participate in internal audits where required.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Additional Duties
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management
