We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Logistics team in Mbarara as Load Makers.
Role Purpose
The Load Maker is responsible for ensuring the accurate movement and documentation of stock within the warehouse. This role supports efficient loading and unloading processes while maintaining compliance with inventory and safety standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Verify all incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accuracy.
Match picking slips with load manifests and invoices.
Coordinate warehouse activities with staff including forklift operators, loaders, and offloaders.
Ensure that mixed pallets align with specific customer orders.
Adhere to FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation principles.
Inspect returned goods and empty bottles from the market.
Organize truck space allocation for loading/unloading activities.
Conduct daily and monthly stock counts as per company procedures.
Manage stacking and organization of full goods, empties, and pallets in the warehouse yard.
Resolve issues related to damaged goods, stock discrepancies, or delays.
Collaborate with sales and production teams to meet operational targets.
Ensure proper use and upkeep of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Maintain accurate records of stock movements, deliveries, and dispatches.
Comply with all safety, health, and environmental standards in warehouse operations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement, warehousing, or logistics operations.
Core Competencies
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
High level of integrity and honesty.
Assertive and confident communicator.
Self-disciplined with a proactive approach to tasks.
