Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support climate-smart agriculture by establishing farmer field schools and training smallholder farmers in improved, climate-resilient farming practices
- Guide women farmer groups in high-value crop production, vegetable growing, fruit tree planting, and sustainable land use
- Support micro-irrigation and water use by promoting proper use, fair access, and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Mobilise, form, and mentor Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and train members in savings, financial literacy, and group management
- Support enterprise development and market linkages for farmers and groups
- Mobilise and strengthen community structures including farmer groups, VSLAs, and Water Committees
- Collect project data, prepare activity reports, and document success stories and lessons learnt
- Promote safeguarding, gender equality, disability inclusion, and respectful community engagement
