Job Description
TASLAF Advocates invites applications for its Legal Graduate Trainee Programme from law graduates who have recently completed or are completing the Bar Course at the Law Development Centre (LDC). The programme is designed to provide practical exposure in a fast-growing corporate and commercial law firm handling diverse and high-impact legal matters, while equipping trainees with strong foundational skills for professional legal practice.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, opinions, memoranda, and pleadings under supervision.
- Assist in corporate and commercial transactions, due diligence, and document verification.
- Support compliance reviews and regulatory advisory work.
- Prepare client briefs, legal summaries, and internal reports.
- Assist in court filings, case management, and litigation support where required.
- Participate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions.
- Maintain organized legal files and document management systems.
- Support ESG, sustainability, and climate finance-related legal work.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors and partners.
