Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Fresher Jobs)

Duty Station: Mukono, Uganda
QUALITY PLASTICS UGANDA LIMITED is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to perform basic laboratory analysis on recycled PET flakes and PET pellets such as washing quality of PET flakes, purity/contamination test, PET pellets colour measurement, food grade quality of PET pellets and supplied materials to ensure quality is maintained, following the company Sops. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mukono.

How to Apply
Farm produce
Responsible for writing of Standard Operating procedures and checklist for all activities performed in the laboratory.
Perform basic laboratory analysis on received raw materials such as washing agents.
Perform basic laboratory analysis on recycled PET flakes and PET pellets such as washing quality of PET flakes, purity/contamination test, PET pellets color measurement, food grade quality of PET pellets and supplied materials to ensure quality is maintained, following the company SOPs.
Responsible for reagents preparation and standardization.
Develop accurate record and prepare reports on the analysis carried out.
Perform routine operation, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Maintain compliance to all internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure safety protocols are adhered to during laboratory processes.
Responsible for the cleanliness of the work environment.

Minimum Experience: 2+ years in laboratory analysis
Minimum Education: Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent Communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Good Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
In-depth knowledge of applicable standards, local rules and regulations
