Lab Technicians job at Case Medical Services
Case Medical Services
Educate patients and the community on communicable disease prevention, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.
Health Promotion & Disease Prevention:
Provide counseling on disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Participate in immunization programs, maternal and child health care, and community outreach.
Educate patients and the community on communicable disease prevention, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.
Surgical Assistance:
Assist doctors in major surgeries or perform basic surgical procedures independently, depending on their training and scope of practice.
Pre- and post-operative patient care management.
Record Keeping & Documentation:
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Ensure that patient data is properly documented for continuity of care.
Collaboration & Supervision:
Work closely with doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and other healthcare providers.
Supervise and train junior clinical staff, nurses, and other medical personnel as needed.
Participate in healthcare team meetings to discuss patient management and care improvement.
Public Health Responsibilities:
Participate in national health programs, such as vaccination campaigns and maternal health initiatives.
Contribute to epidemiological data collection and reporting for disease outbreaks.

Completion of a diploma or degree in clinical medicine and surgery from a recognized medical training institution.
In some countries, Clinical Officers may need to complete a bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine.

Licensure:
Must be licensed and registered with the respective Clinical Officers' Council or Medical Board in the country of practice.
Continuing professional development (CPD) is often required to maintain licensure.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills to manage a wide variety of medical conditions.
Ability to work independently, especially in resource-limited settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Competence in using medical equipment, interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing treatments.
