Job Description
As a Junior DevOps Support Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting comprehensive build and release management processes. You will help facilitate the adoption of CI/CD pipelines using Agile best practices and Azure DevOps tools. Responsibilities also include maintenance and troubleshooting of development environments, ensuring high availability of software tools, and addressing project-specific needs. The position requires occasional after-hours work and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and support build and release management workflows.
Facilitate the use of CI/CD practices in an Azure DevOps environment.
Troubleshoot and maintain development and automation tools and pipelines.
Ensure uptime and availability of development software and components.
Support program-specific and ad-hoc projects.
Participate in occasional after-hours work when needed.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Computer Science, ND: IT, or matric with relevant experience.
2+ years of experience in a software development environment.
2+ years in DevOps, automation, scripting, and CI/CD.
Proficient with version control (e.g., Git).
Advantageous Skills:
Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, XL-Deploy.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash.
Bash scripting in Linux environments.
Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Meticulous attention to detail and flexibility.
