Job Description
The System Administrator Support: ICT will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and network equipment, maintaining security and backups, and supporting specialized software and systems. The incumbent will assist end-users, maintain IT asset records, manage licensing and infrastructure, and report to the ICT Service Delivery Manager. The role requires technical proficiency, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Install and maintain ICT hardware and legal software
Maintain the asset database and ensure lifecycle planning
Provide first- and second-line support via Ivanti incident management system
Support software upgrades and advise on specialized software and intelligent devices
Maintain security of the network and applications
Perform backups in line with DRP, BCP, and Backup & Restoration policies
Ensure telecommunications infrastructure is optimally maintained
Maintain physical security of computer equipment
Ensure proper documentation for insured assets
Support ICT strategy initiatives and participate in ICT management reporting
Act as a liaison with external service providers in the absence of the Senior System Administrator
Deliver telephone reports/accounts as per institutional requirements

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT environment
Microsoft Certification (advantageous)
ITIL Certification (advantageous)
Good understanding of ICT principles, computer hardware/software, and financial policies
Strong ability to work independently
Good verbal and written communication skills
