Job Description

Part of the High Commission's Political and Public Diplomacy team. Support work on Migration and Human Rights, working closely with the Government of Uganda, multilateral organisations and civil society. Produce thematic reporting and briefing for the wider High Commission and FCDO Headquarters.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the High Commission's leads on migration and human rights issues with timely analysis and advice
  • Cultivate a wide range of contacts to understand and analyse developments in migration and human rights fields
  • Organise and attend meetings and events to gain deeper understanding of key issues
  • Produce timely and accurate reporting for the team
  • Provide support to political analysis for teams across the Mission
  • Ensure UK humanitarian or trade engagement reflects the political context
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing demands as part of an energetic team
