Job Description
Key member of the TREES Uganda leadership team, responsible for building and sustaining people systems that enable staff to deliver high-quality program impact. Reports to the Country Director, Uganda.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as senior People and Culture leader for Uganda
- Act as trusted strategic advisor to Country Director and Management Team
- Translate global People and Culture strategies into locally relevant practices
- Lead, mentor and develop the Uganda People and Culture team
- Ensure full compliance with Ugandan labor laws and statutory requirements
- Oversee HRIS (Rippling) data accuracy and reporting
- Lead workforce planning aligned with strategic priorities
- Oversee recruitment for all Uganda-based roles
- Serve as senior lead for employee relations
- Champion organizational culture and staff engagement
- Lead country-level People and Culture strategic projects using data analytics
