About the Role
Uganda Airlines is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Auditor – Operations to join its Internal Audit team. This role involves conducting independent and objective audits aimed at assessing and enhancing the Airline’s risk management, control, and governance processes.

How to Apply
Develop risk-based audit programs aligned with the Internal Audit Plan, Charter, and International Internal Auditing Standards.
Conduct compliance audits to assess adherence to Uganda Airlines’ policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Evaluate operational efficiency and ensure proper safeguarding and recording of company assets.
Draft audit reports and submit findings for review by the Senior Internal Auditor.
Conduct control risk self-assessments across various departments.
Follow up on audit recommendations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other audit-related duties as assigned by management.

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting or Finance), or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Solid understanding of International Internal Auditing Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CISA is an added advantage.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar internal audit role within a large and reputable public or private sector organization.
Prior experience in the aviation sector or with a reputable private company is a strong advantage.

Ability to conduct data-driven audits using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Assertive, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of airline operations is an added benefit.
