Job Description

Job Vacancy: Inspection Officer

Organization: Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC)

Location: Uganda

Salary Scale: UNMC 4

Reports to: Senior Inspection and Quality Assurance Officer

Supervises: None

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the operations of nurses, midwives, healthcare facilities, and training institutions for compliance with established standards.

  • Develop inspection tools and guidelines for effective data collection.

  • Document inspection findings and prepare comprehensive reports.

  • Collect, analyze, and compile relevant data to inform quality assurance efforts.

  • Draft and submit inspection work plans and budgets.

  • Train staff and stakeholders on inspection methodologies and standards.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration and practicing license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a reputable organization.
