How to Apply
Responsibilities:
You have to check that all goods are exited from bond with authorizing documents.
You have to ensure that both Bugolobi and Kisementi have adequate stock quantities and never go below the minimum approved stock holding levels by removing those goods from bond in time.
You need to do a physical monthly stock count for the customs bonded warehouse and ensure that there are no losses or discrepancies. In case of any variances, a clear explanation should be made.
Ensure that the sales team liquidate any stock that is approaching 90 days in bond
Process and monitor GTNs from the customs bonded warehouse to our internal stores
Ensure that monthly bond stock quantities match with the URA system and stock record in your own system.
You are responsible and will be held accountable for any stock losses from bonded warehouse.
Get approval for freight rates for all goods to be imported by sea, air and land.
Prepare calculation of tax payments, tax cheques and get the necessary approvals.
Liaise with our clearing agents to ensure timely release of goods.
Check with the different project managers at least 3 times a week to check their material needs for purposes of purchase, bond removal etc.
Track shipments and ensure stipulated times as quoted by freight forwarders are met.
Draft contracts, LPOS for selected forwarders.
Compare freight rates with different companies and choose the best.
Ensure certificate of conformity for goods to be imported has been prepared.
Generate LPOs for local purchases and ensure that those parties are paid according to the stipulated terms.
Meet the MD on actions to take when goods are getting old and prepare for liquidation by coordinating with the relevant departments.
Track and pay charges for ex ware housing to our agents.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor
Experience Level: Senior level
