Qualifications, Education and Competencies

A successful candidate will have the following:

  • FH Association is seeking for an experienced HR Manager who possesses a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic thinking and Administrative skills and will be able to guide and manage the overall provision of human resource services, policies and programs for FH in the country office, including administration of general Human Resources practices. This role ensures that the Organization’s HR initiatives are aligned with its strategic objectives and supports the overall growth and success of the organization.


Experience

  • The HR Manager should have a minimum of Eight (8) years of working experience in HR within an NGO setting.

  • Working knowledge and experience in developing HR strategy, HR polices and guidelines as well as functional tools.

  • Knowledge in strategy development processes, change management

  • Experience in dealing with government departments on issues of visas, registration, tax, movement of personnel etc

  • Excellent technical knowledge on general HR areas as indicated by the key result areas

  • Experience in training and capacity building.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, Country legislation and HR best practices.

  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., Odoo, Orange, ADP).

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization


Education/Certifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced HR related qualification is a plus and HR certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or CIPD and membership to the Human Resource Association is an added advantage

  • Strong working knowledge of computers and MS Office Suite

  • Ability to travel (up to 20% per year, domestic and possibly internationally)

  • Ability to gather and analyse critical information for reporting and designing systems such as pay scales.
