Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant supports the RSCE with the determination and implementation of benefits and entitlements for international and national staff of client missions, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and full compliance with UN staff rules and regulations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of staff entitlements including claims, danger pay, subsistence allowances, and other payments.
- Process entitlements, benefits, and payroll for international and national civilian staff and non-staff.
- Support onboarding, travel arrangements, settling-in grants, and separation activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR guidelines and recommend revisions to policy.
- Advise internal and external clients on benefits, entitlements, and staff rules.
- Maintain Umoja (SAP) records for personnel administration, contract movements, and time management.
- Provide general office support, draft correspondence, and maintain reference files.
- Resolve queries escalated in Umoja iNeed system.
