Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of projects and initiatives within the hub. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes and adherence to quality standards and budget constitution among with leadership and guidance to hub staff members, including project coordinators, administrators, and support personnel.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promote teamwork and professional development, and address any performance or staffing issues as needed.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the hub in alignment with the goals and priorities of the State House. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement to enhance the effectiveness and impact of hub activities.

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to hub staff members, including project coordinators, administrators, and support personnel.   • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, policymakers, community leaders, and partner organizations. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, priorities, and opportunities for collaboration to advance the mission of the hub and the State House.

  • Resource Management: Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including budget, personnel, equipment, and facilities, to support hub activities and initiatives. Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to achieve desired outcomes and maximize impact.

  • Policy Development and Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures related to the operations and governance of the hub. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and ethical principles.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the performance and impact of hub activities and projects. Collect and analyze data, track key performance indicators, and prepare reports to inform decision-making and accountability.

  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate regularly with senior management, stakeholders, and partners to provide updates on hub activities, progress, and outcomes. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other communication materials as required.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities affecting hub operations and projects. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential threats and capitalize on opportunities to achieve hub objectives.

  • Promotion and Advocacy: Promote the work and achievements of the hub through various channels, including media outreach, public relations campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities. Advocate for policy changes or initiatives that align with the hub's goals and priorities.

  • Continual Improvement: Continuously assess and review hub operations, processes, and performance to identify areas for improvement. Implement measures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of hub activities and initiatives.

  • Adherence to Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in all aspects of hub operations and interactions. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

  • An honors Bachelor's Degree in any field or its equivalent from a recognized University

    or Institution.


OR

  • A Diploma in Training and Institutional Management from a recognized University or

Institution.


Other Requirements:

  • Computer Literacy.


Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Vocational Training Institution is required


Added Advantage

  • Experience in a Factory/workshop/Agricultural farms.


Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Associate Degree

Industrial Hubs are located in the following sub regions: Acholi - Gulu; Ankole - Bunyoro-Masindi; Mbarara; Bugisu - Mbale; Busoga Jinja; Bukedi - Kibuku; Kigezi - Kabale; Karamoja Napak; Lango Lira, Madi - Adjuman, Greater Masaka - Masaka, Mubende Mubende, Mmengo- Kayunga; Rwenzori - Ntoroko; Rwenzori - Kasese; Sebei Kween; Teso - Soroti; Tooro - Kyenjojo; West Nile - Zombo.
