Joint Medical Store (JMS)

Provide branch oversight and promote the development and marker presence of JMS products by implementing strategies that promote smooth operations within the value chain by managing human resources, stock and fleet.
NB. Working knowledge of the region and local languages is required for candidates applying for positions at Gulu branch.

  • Collaborate with senior management to formulate business strategy

  • Ensure regulatory compliance

  • Oversee implementation of IT systems

  • Design policies that align with overall strategy

  • Implement efficient processes and standards

  • Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention

  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws

  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field preferred.

  • Relevant certifications, such as Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification, may be advantageous.

Experience:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success.

  • Experience in a similar industry or organization, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

  • Proven experience in managing teams, with a strong background in leadership and development.

Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.

  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

  • Operational expertise: In-depth knowledge of operations management, including process optimization, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
