Reports To: COO/Managing Director
Location: Kampala Headquarters, with periodic travel to divisional warehouses and production sites across Uganda
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
Bukoola Chemical Industries Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Head of Inventory & Warehouse to provide strategic leadership across our multi-division supply chain. This senior role will champion operational excellence, inventory optimization, and warehouse efficiency across our Crop, Vet, Seed, Pharma, and Production divisions.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who ensures seamless inventory performance, robust warehouse operations, and efficient ERP integration across all locations.

1. Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement effective warehouse and inventory management strategies.
Apply Lean Inventory principles to minimize obsolescence and optimize working capital.
Standardize inventory and warehouse processes across multiple sites.
Drive ERP enhancement to ensure real-time visibility and accurate reporting.
2. Operational Excellence
Oversee the full inventory lifecycle—from receiving to final dispatch.
Ensure stock accuracy and achieve OTIF delivery targets across all divisions.
Lead cycle counts, annual stocktakes, and audit reconciliation activities.
Enforce inventory management standards and traceability requirements.
Promote 5S, safety, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Sales, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Ensure alignment between inventory operations and company-wide financial and operational objectives.
4. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor warehouse managers, inventory controllers, and logistics teams.
Set and track KPIs while cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide ERP (Odoo/SAP) training and enhance team capacity.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Do You Have What It Takes?
1. Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), or equivalent.
ISO 9001:2015 and ERP certifications (Odoo/SAP) are added advantages.
2. Experience
8–10+ years of experience in inventory and warehouse management.
At least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience managing multi-site warehouse operations.
Background in FMCG, agrochemical, or manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated success in ERP-driven operations.
3. Core Competencies
Excellent strategic supply chain planning and analytical skills.
Strong ERP and data management proficiency.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
