Job Description
Reporting to the Group CTO, the Head of DevSecOps will be responsible for embedding security best practices throughout the SDLC, managing multi-cloud infrastructure (including Azure and GCP), and ensuring the secure configuration of virtual machines and networks. Key responsibilities include deploying Kubernetes (including AKS), Terraform, Flux, GitHub Actions, and overseeing vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT). The role also involves developing and maintaining security policies, guiding the DevOps team, and monitoring cloud infrastructure for compliance and cost optimization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead deployment of Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS), Flux, GitHub Actions, and GCP
Design and manage secure Kubernetes networking and virtual network architectures
Configure and manage VMs and virtual networks for high availability and security compliance
Automate workflows and streamline DevOps security protocols
Monitor system observability and manage cloud resource costs
Develop robust multi-cloud architectures with emphasis on security
Mentor DevOps teams and lead strategic security discussions
Implement security practices throughout SDLC (code reviews, static/dynamic analysis, vulnerability scanning)
Maintain and enforce security policies and procedures
Respond to security incidents and develop incident response strategies
Monitor emerging security threats and recommend countermeasures
Provide training to development and operations teams on security awareness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years in DevOps or cybersecurity roles, with leadership responsibilities
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS), Flux, GitHub Actions, GCP
Strong understanding of virtual networks, VMs, and multi-cloud environments
Hands-on experience in vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, and security automation tools
Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies
Programming/scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Certifications (Preferred):
CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent
Competencies:
Strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills
Deep technical knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps tools
Ability to mentor teams and drive a culture of security
