Job Description
Fido is seeking a Head of Business Development to lead the expansion of its digital financial services in Uganda. The role involves driving growth through the introduction of new products, establishing strategic partnerships, fostering innovation, and conducting market research.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Product team on the development of new products and solutions according to the roadmap.
- Conduct market research and gather customer needs to support optimal product solutions.
- Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships to facilitate product launches.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and industry influencers.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties.
- Gather competitive intelligence and conduct thorough analysis of industry trends.
- Derive data-driven decisions and refine business strategies to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive expansion of existing and new products.
- Lead efforts in raising debt to support expansion initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team.
