Job Description
The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Hass Avocado supply chain, including farmer onboarding, extension team coordination, harvesting schedules, logistics planning, and cost optimization. The role also includes oversight of digital traceability systems and the training of farmers and field staff. The successful candidate must possess strong experience in horticulture/agriculture, farmer relations, logistics, and digital tools used in farm management and traceability.

How to Apply
Farmer Network Management
Register and onboard Hass Avocado farmers into the Agricado supply chain
Maintain strong farmer relationships and ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards
Keep an updated farmer database with all compliance records
Extension Team Oversight
Manage extension teams and field officers
Set performance targets and facilitate continuous capacity building
Harvesting & Logistics Planning
Develop and execute harvesting schedules aligned with market needs
Coordinate fruit transportation from farm to packhouse
Collaborate with export and logistics teams
Cost and Process Optimization
Implement strategies to reduce operational costs without compromising quality
Enhance communication and operational efficiency across departments
Use data analytics to improve performance
Digital Tools and Traceability
Administer traceability software and supply chain apps
Ensure consistency and accuracy in field data collection
Training and Capacity Building
Plan and implement farmer training on avocado production and certification standards
Work with agronomists and certification bodies as needed

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in horticulture or avocado sector, particularly in field operations or supply chain
Demonstrated ability to manage farmer networks and field teams
Strong grasp of logistics, operational efficiency, and cost control
Experience with digital traceability and farm data tools
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments
Preferred:
Knowledge of global export standards and certifications (e.g., Global GAP)
Fluency in English; local language knowledge is a plus
Analytical, problem-solving mindset with a passion for agriculture and farmer empowerment
