Job Title: Graduate Intern – Monitoring & Evaluation- DGD Project (No Experience NGO Jobs)

Job Summary:
The Graduate Intern will provide technical and administrative support to the project team including monitoring project activities, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, maintaining databases, and assisting with basic data analysis and reporting. This role offers practical exposure to MER systems and procedures in a humanitarian/development context.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Data Collection & Entry – Collect, clean, and enter quality data promptly into systems (e.g., Excel, Kobo, CommCare, DHIS2) for timely reporting and planning.
Data Quality Assurance – Apply data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in line with MER protocols.
Database Management – Maintain updated beneficiary databases (CPCM, CVA, CBCPM, CFS) and organized filing systems (hard & soft copies).
Monitoring & Tracking – Track activities against work plans, logframes, and indicator targets; compile weekly/monthly summaries and basic statistical reports.
Feedback Management – Enter, categorize, and follow up on community feedback from help desks, hotlines, and meetings.
Tool Development & Field Support – Assist in designing, pre-testing, and implementing data collection tools; participate in field visits for monitoring and verification.
Reporting & Visualization – Prepare dashboards, performance charts, donor annexes, and data
visualizations; contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly MER reports.
Knowledge Management – File and archive program documents, reports, and survey tools; support learning and reflection meetings by documenting key points and action items.
Ensuring that quality data is collected, cleaned, and entered promptly so that program teams have reliable information for planning, targeting, and reporting.
Assisting in the implementation of data quality assurance protocols that align with the organization’s MER strategy.
Contributing to monitoring activities that feed into donor reporting, organizational learning, and beneficiary feedback mechanisms.
Helping compile and organize data that informs program reviews, after-action reviews, and strategic adaptation.
Maintain up-to-date beneficiary databases for activities like Child Protection Case Management (CPCM), Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA), Community-Based Child Protection Mechanisms (CBCPM), and Child Friendly Spaces (CFS).
Compile and share basic statistical summaries for weekly and monthly program updates.
Support routine activity tracking against work plans and indicator targets.
Participate in post-activity monitoring, verification, and beneficiary satisfaction assessments.
Support in filing and archiving program documents, monitoring reports, and survey tools for easy retrieval.
Contribute to the preparation of presentations, dashboards, and donor report annexes.
Assist in entering and categorizing community feedback from help desks, hotline calls, or community meetings.
Support in tracking and following up on actions taken in response to feedback.
Participate in the design and implement project monitoring tools as per project M&E plan and ensure use of appropriate tools in collection, compilation, analysis and utilization across the project.
Enter collected data into the project database (e.g., Excel, Kobo, Comm Care, DHIS2) within agreed timelines.
Maintain an organized data filing system (both hard and soft copies) for easy retrieval.
Assist with generating summaries, indicator tracking tables, and simple data visualizations for reporting and learning purposes.
Help track project performance against work plans and logframes.
Contribute to the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly MER reports.
Support learning and reflection meetings by preparing performance charts and graphs, and documenting key points for follow-up.
Support the design, pre-testing, and use of data collection tools (digital or paper-based).
Participate in field visits to gather accurate and timely data on project indicators.
Conduct basic data quality checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency before entry.
