Job Description
The graduate program is designed for aspiring mechanical engineers with a strong interest in fluid mechanics and CFD applications. The selected graduate will work closely with Teraco’s engineering team to design, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical and fluid systems, while also supporting prototype development and testing. This role provides exposure to industry best practices, hands-on experience in system evaluation, and opportunities for professional growth. The program runs for 18 months starting 1 February 2026, and is based in Cape Town, Western Cape.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers on CFD design, modelling, and analysis tasks.
Assist in preparing detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Contribute to prototype development and mechanical system testing.
Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving of fluid and mechanical systems.
Support the evaluation of materials and components for product development.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Final year student or graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Strong theoretical understanding of fluid mechanics and related concepts.
Proficiency in CFD-related software tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with simulation and modelling software.
Knowledge of mechanical system testing and prototyping.
Understanding of industry standards related to CFD applications.
