The Position

The role will be responsible for overseeing all operational and strategic aspects of our private security services within Uganda. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, managing a diverse team of security professionals, and driving business growth in the region.

  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the country’s operations.

  • Monitor financial performance against budget and implement corrective actions as necessary.

  • Ensure cost-effective operations and maximize profitability while maintaining service quality.

  • Assess security risks and threats in the operating environment and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and emergency response procedures.

  • Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular performance reviews to assess individual and team contributions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by implementing performance improvement plans where necessary and driving high-performance standards across all departments.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads to drive performance.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in a senior management role within the private security industry.

  • Possession of a master’s degree is an added advantage

  • Proficiency in financial management and budgetary oversight.

  • The candidate must possess strong technological aptitude and adaptability to various systems.

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Solid understanding of security operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and profitability.

  • Financial management and budgetary oversight expertise.

  • Strong technological aptitude and adaptability to security systems.

  • Ability to drive performance and align teams with organizational goals.

 

Quality Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure your own safety and health and that of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at the workplace (these other persons include fellow employees, clients, customers etc.)

  • Co-operate with the QHSE department in the discharge of health and safety requirements.

  • Wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the company for the purpose of preventing risks to your safety and health.

  • Comply with the safety and health procedures, requirements and instructions given by the company for your own or any other person’s safety.
