Job Description
The role involves spearheading the design and implementation of a robust PMO framework, supervising regional projects, aligning resource deployment, and managing risks across diverse portfolios. The incumbent will mentor and lead a high-performing PMO team, serve as the liaison between executive leadership and project delivery teams, and oversee financial tracking to ensure cost-effective and timely project delivery. A strong focus on governance, stakeholder alignment, operational excellence, and continuous improvement will be key to success.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
PMO Development & Framework: Establish and roll out a centralized PMO with standardized governance tools and methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2).
Program Coordination: Supervise a portfolio of regional projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and budgets.
Talent & Resource Management: Lead capacity planning and align resource deployment with business priorities.
Risk & Change Governance: Implement proactive risk management and develop structured mitigation plans.
Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and build a high-performing PMO team while fostering a results-driven culture.
Executive Liaison: Serve as the key link between project teams and senior leadership, preparing reports and insights for stakeholders.
Budget & Financial Oversight: Ensure disciplined financial tracking, ROI monitoring, and adherence to budgets.
Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement, benchmark global best practices, and enhance delivery outcomes.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience, with at least 6 years in senior project/program management or PMO leadership.
Proven track record of managing complex, multi-country projects or transformation initiatives.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or Agile highly desirable.
Strong expertise in portfolio management, risk governance, and performance tracking.
Skills in financial management, communication, change management, and problem-solving.
