About the Role
FINCA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant to serve as a Gender-Sensitive Youth Leadership Training Facilitator. This role involves leading the design, adaptation, and delivery of a culturally responsive and gender-inclusive Train-the-Trainer (ToT) program for youth leadership development across FINCA’s subsidiaries, starting with Uganda and Tanzania.

How to Apply
1. Cultural & Contextual Adaptation
Conduct a comprehensive mapping and review of existing youth leadership training resources in Uganda and Tanzania.
Adapt materials to reflect cultural norms, organizational environments, and socio-economic realities.
Incorporate region-specific case studies, success stories, and examples to ensure relevance and engagement.
2. Curriculum Design & Development
Design a structured Youth Leadership ToT curriculum with an emphasis on cultural inclusivity and gender equity.
Develop facilitator guides, participant handbooks, and support materials tailored for multicultural and diverse learner groups.
3. Inclusive Training Delivery
Deliver interactive, experiential, and culturally responsive Youth Leadership ToT sessions to selected FINCA staff (e.g., HR managers, training leads, potential facilitators).
4. Capacity Building & Mentorship
Equip local trainers to independently deliver the Youth Leadership Program on an annual basis.
Offer mentorship and coaching to support trainers in navigating cultural and gender-related dynamics in leadership development.
Education
Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in:
Organizational Development
Intercultural Studies
Education
Leadership
Human Resources
Social Sciences or related fields
Certifications in facilitation, coaching, or intercultural communication are an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years designing and facilitating leadership development programs.
Demonstrated experience in:
Gender-sensitive and culturally adaptive training
Training of Trainers (ToT) methodology
Working with organizations in developing or multicultural contexts
Skills & Competencies
Strong intercultural communication and facilitation skills
Deep understanding of gender dynamics and cultural influences on leadership
Ability to adapt training language, content, and methods for diverse learning styles
Proficiency in both virtual and in-person training delivery
