Job Description
ASA Microfinance (U) Ltd is seeking for professional, confident, self-motivated, and committed team players to reinforce its capacity by filling the following vacant positions:
Job Summary:
The company fleet officer will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of an organisation’s vehicle fleet. This included managing drivers, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance, and optimising fleet operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Fleet Management:
- Oversee the company’s fleet of vehicles and motorbikes.
- Scheduling and dispatching vehicles and motorbikes for various needs.
- Monitor and analyze fuel consumption patterns.
- Maintaining vehicle and motorbike records, including maintenance logs and inspections.
- Ensuring vehicles and motorbikes are in good working condition and compliant with regulations.
- Managing vehicle and motorbike acquisition and disposal processes.
Driver Management:
- Supervising and supporting drivers, including training, performance evaluation, and discipline.
- Ensuring drivers adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and driving schedules.
- Managing driver records, licenses, and other relevant documentation
Maintenance and Repair:
- Overseeing vehicle and motorbike maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs.
- Managing relationships with repair shops and vendors.
- Tracking vehicle and motorbike maintenance costs and identifying areas for cost reduction.
Fleet Performance and Reporting:
- Monitoring fleet performance metrics, such as fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver safety.
- Analysing data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize fleet operations.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensuring compliance with company and government regulations governing fleet operations.
- Developing and implementing safety programs for drivers, vehicles and motorbikes.
- Responding to and managing vehicle and motorbike accidents and incidents.
- Implement technology solutions for fleet management, such as GPS tracking, telematics, and fleet management software.
- And any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time
